I’ll post this now but I think this is going to be a hard one to ignore stateside a year or two from now. My first impression is this - take 5 really young looking cutesy Swedish girls who look like more innocent versions of the slutty american apparel girls and add to that some catchy ass upbeat throwback “surf punk” pop/dance songs…and you got yourself a buzzworth band - the type record companies love! I’ll call them the Swedish female Strokes…who they will likely be compared to as well as the obligatory Go Gos comparison. This song does have a lot of promise and though I want to start my hating on them now, I have to admit that by this song alone, they seem to have the music/talent to back up the hype that will surely follow. If bands were stock, I would BUY BUY BUY right now with this band because it’s hard to see how they could miss with this package.
definitely catchy. i don’t see longevity for them, but then, i don’t see that for many modern bands these days.
i like it. but as ali said they might not have much longevity. kinda reminds me of that band the caesars and their one big hit “jerk it out” which is great. and hey they’re from sweden too! how interesting.
